At Grafham Water on Saturday 23rd August the North Kent Flydressers' team consisting of Trevor Bourne, Ray French, Ralph Painter & Bob Shaw finished as runners-up in the John Watt Trophy.
They finished 3 fish behind the winners London A.

The Presidents Cup
This an individual competition in which pairings are 'drawn out of a hat'. The match date & venue are decided by each pair. The only stipulation is that all fixtures need to be completed by a round completion date below:
Round 1 - To be completed by 30th April 2008 Round 2 - To be completed by 30th June 2008 Semi-Final - To be completed by 31st August 2008 Final to be fished by 31st October 2008
Presidents Cup 1st Semi-Final
On Thursday 24th July Jack Selwood and Ben Ball fished the first semi-final of the Presidents Cup at Bewl.
On a hot and sunny day the fish were in the top of the water with floating lines proving to be the best bet.The flies that caught were gold head damsels on the point with cormorants on the droppers.
Ben won boating 5 trout to jacks 2 with both anglers dropping several fish. All the fish came drifting from Chingley corner to the Bubbles which were on.
Jack and Ben were joined on the day by several other President Cup competitors who had fished in previous rounds,also they were pleased to have Mitch as a guest who fished in the first Presidents Cup in 1993 before moving to Bristol.Jack won the Cup that year from Mitch.
The heat made some prone to exaggeration!!
