Penshurst Place - Wield of Kent Craft Show

 

Friday April 30th - Monday 2nd May 2011

 

In spite of three days of high winds that on the last day tore the tent wall open and made it very uncomfortable to tie flies we still managed to raise £510.10 for Cancer Research UK against last years total of £479.01, a very good performance and every credit and thanks to those members who manned the stall or tied flies to sell

Edenbridge & Oxted Show

 

Saturday 28th & Sunday 29th August 2011

 

Tom and the Team put on another great show of

Fly Dressing and raised £365.00 for

The Leukaemia Research Fund

This was slightly up on last years total for the show and was also a great advertisment for the Branch.

Tom will be arranging for the branch to be in attendance again at both shows in 2012. with the onset of darker nights shorter fishing hours and longer fly tying time, please spare a thought for the efforts of Tom and tie up a few flies that can be sold at the 2012 show's. They dont have to be works of art just proven fish catchers on local waters, or just go through your boxes and donate any unwanted flies to the Branch
