Fishing in the annual FDG charity pairs competition at Bewl Water on 11th October Bob Shaw and Ray French repeated their win of last year and retained the Charity Pairs Challenge Cup.

They were representing the North Kent Fly Dressers Guild & were competing against FDG members of Sussex, Rother, Swale plus some unattached.

Fishing as a pair to reservoir rules on what proved to be a very difficult day Bob & Ray winkled out 4 fish and 3 fish respectively to gain their winning total of almost 10lb.

Successful flies was a team mixture of Boobies, Hoppers and Blobs on fast and Slow Glass lines

The day raised ?166.50.

Ray & Bob chose The British Heart Foundation to be the beneficiary
