The Fly Dressers Guild

In the Summer of 1967 four enthusiastic fly-tyers of similar thinking convened to form the Flydressers' Guild. They wanted to share their fly-tying knowledge & experience with a much wider audience.

Over the last forty years many branches have been formed not only in the UK, but across the globe & has an overseas membership of 450.

North Kent Branch History

The North Kent Branch was formed in 1984 when a small group of fly dressing enthusiasts met in Geoff Bucknall's tackle shop in Lewisham. The Branch grew to be one of the largest in the country, with a membership exceeding seventy. Membership is open to anybody with an interest in fly-tying and/or fly-fishing.

Today, many of the members also belong to the trout section of the Kingfisher Angling & Preservation Society & spend the fishing season at the syndicates' waters at Eynsford & Ide Hill. This makes for a very jovial & friendly atmosphere which is welcoming & appealing to new members.

Bewl Superglue
